Color consultation is for everyone! Every person belongs to a color type, regardless their pigmentation level and type. I warmly welcome anyone who are curious to learn about how colors can impact their appearance and enhance their style.
The color consultation takes place in person, during daylight hours, and without makeup. The studio where I work has neutral colors, with white walls. I also wear light-colored clothing to focus solely on you during the consultation.
It doesn’t really matter, as I will cover your hair and upper body during the consultation. I usually ask that you wear a top that shows your neck and some of your décolletage.
For accurate results, please refrain from wearing any makeup on your skin, such as foundation, BB cream, or corrector. We need to see how your natural skin tone changes during the color draping process. If you arrive wearing makeup, you can remove it in the studio.
Permanent makeup, such as eyeliner or eyebrow tattoos, does not interfere with color consultations, as the color of your face, neck, and chin is what matters most in finding harmonizing colors.
No problem if your hair is dyed, as I cover it with a white cloth during the draping process.
Since both affect the melanin production of your skin, it is not recommended to use self-tanners or go to the tanning salon before a color consultation. Definitely take a break of 3-4 weeks before coming to me! After finding your own colors, you probably won’t feel the need to artificially change the color of your skin anyway.
For an individual consultation, it typically takes around 2,5-3 hours. This includes learning about the basics of color theory, the draping session, and trying on your best lipstick shades. The duration may vary depending on your level of interest in color theory. Additionally, if you’re keen on trying multiple wigs, it might take slightly longer.
For a 2-person color analysis (if you come with your friend or family member), it typically takes around 3-4 hours.
